Gulf Health Council

The Gulf Health Council is a collaborative platform that aims to promote public health and develop healthcare systems in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries through innovative initiatives and sustainable programs that achieve health integration and improve quality of life.

The Health Council of the GCC States includes the following Gulf countries as members: United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait, in addition to the Republic of Yemen which joined the Council to enhance regional health cooperation.
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Officially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a country in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. Riyadh is the capital of Saudi Arabia. With a land area of approximately 2,150,000 km2 (830,000 sq mi), Saudi Arabia is geographically the largest sovereign state in Western Asia, the second-largest in the Arab world , the fifth-largest in Asia, and the 12th-largest in the world. In 2020, the population of Saudi Arabia stands at 34.81 million.

Sultante of Oman

Oman is a country situated in Southwest Asia, bordering the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Oman, and Arabin Gulf, between Yemen and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Muscat is the capital of Oman. The total surface area of the country is 119,500 square miles (309,500 square kilometers), which ranks 69th in the world in terms of size. The current population of Oman is 5,097,932 .

United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a country in Western Asia at the northeast end of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering Oman to the east and Saudi Arabia to the south and west, as well as sharing maritime borders with Qatar to the west and Iran to the north. Abu Dhabi is the capital of Emirates. The total surface area of the country is 83,600 km². UAE Population in 2020 is 9.89 Million

The Kingdom of Bahrain

Bahrain, officially the Kingdom of Bahrain, is a sovereign state in the Arabin Gulf. Manama is the capital of Bahrain. The island nation comprises a small archipelago made up of 33 natural islands and an additional 51 artificial islands, centered around Bahrain Island which makes up around 83 percent of the country’s landmass. The total surface area of the country is 765.3 km². The current population of Bahrain is 1,696,755 .

Kuwait

Kuwait, officially the State of Kuwait, is a country in Western Asia. Kuwait City is the capital of Kuwait. Situated in the northern edge of Eastern Arabia at the tip of the Arabin Gulf, it borders Iraq to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south. Kuwait is a constitutional sovereign state with a semi-democratic political system. The total surface area of the country is 17,818 km². The current population of Kuwait is 4,270,571.

Qatar

Qatar is a peninsular Arab country whose terrain comprises arid desert and a long Arab Gulf shoreline of beaches and dunes. Also on the coast is the capital, Doha, known for its futuristic skyscrapers and other ultramodern architecture inspired by ancient Islamic design, such as the limestone Museum of Islamic Art. The museum sits on the city’s Corniche waterfront promenade. The total surface area of the country is 11,571 km². Qatar 2020 population is estimated at 2,881,053 .
